Default New age parts wanted (intercooler, intake etc)

Hello
I have a 2001 wrx bug, and planning to remap it soon, tho want to finish upgrading the bolt ons first .
So im after-
A nice intake - pipercross? Hks? K&n?
And a intercooler kit. Originally want a front mount , but that only requiers bumper cutoffs inside, no aircon pump removals or anything (mainly for the looks, car wont be heading more than 3xx bhp anyway .... or maybe just a cheapish STi top mount..

A few more parts that im after but totally not in a rush are-
Sti hawkeye interior (with the new style doorcards)
Sti sweeping clocks with any mileage
Stereo undertray from forester or somekind of thing that looks originalish ( converted from double to single, have a hole there now )
Bugeye front lip (any color, any material, but must look good )
Rear top spoiler ( the one that came on hawks, or the evo style one)

Would be best if you contact by text

Hi Mate, I'm doing the same mods on my 52 bug, just for your info the standard wrx intercooler is good for 350-400bhp so no need to change (saves a bit of cash) worth upgrading the fuel pump though before remap.

just thought the info might help if you didn't already know.

Cheers Craig

Thx Craig!!!! I did know that, I just thought that bigger intercooler would give me a few extra cheap bhp.. what about the fuel pump? What difference will it make?? ( will my mpg be suffering from all of that?)

You'll need the fuel pump, walbro one will do..... About £80. The fuel regulator controls the fuel so a better pump won't matter but obviously to get the most of your map you'll need it.....ie more power=more fuel to get it

MPG will go down a bit however, what fuel do you run as I was running 95 ron but will now be running 99 ron after map which actually give you much better response from the car and better mpg

I'm not too sure about getting 350+bhp from a WRX tmic, I am running a WRX with 340bhp and have an Sti tmic fitted soon to be changed for an FMIC kit.

I would say 265-300bhp at a push would be possible on a WRX tmic.

Matty please correct me if I'm wrong, would you usually only go to pinks if your looking at an up rated turbo? That's what I've been told but would be good to get some clarification as I'm doing similar mods as well!

Thanks Craig

It all depends what power you want to go for, any thing over 270bhp I would suggest going for Sti 550 pinks as the 440s will be near their limit.

Hawkeye wrx tmic,is gd for 350-400 bhp,

Was advised this from many mappers that it wasnt a requirement to change it but i already had an sti one as i wanted as much air as possible,

Not sure if the bug/blob wrx ones take the same but drop any mapper a pm and they will explain mate

It should fit straight on, not sure if you need the mounting brackets as well though. To get the most from the intercooler you will need to get an Sti bonnet scoop and undertray fitted.
