Default Newage indication kit

Needed for my bug a decent induction kit, is it true the filters that go in the wing loose you power?? Sure I read somewhere I guy moved his and gained 20bhp on the dyno..
So preferably a filter that does not sit in the wing

Watched a test on Youtube , none gained any HP unless mounted outside (they let it sit out to see) and even than only gained 1 or 2 hp. It was more to do with intake temps . I have the K&N Typhoon that has heatshields and gives a nice sound (IMO) but dont expect power gains.

Watch these vids.
