Default Gearbox speed sensor MY98

Will be picking up my 98 Terzo tomorrow which I'm thinking has a knackered speed sensor. The speedo isn't working and the odometer isn't counting up.

So just after a working sensor for a MY98 UK Turbo 2000

Cheers

Stu

Which one is it? The one with the plug in the sensor, or the plug on the end of a lead??

I`ve just fitted a new gearbox, and it came with an electrical sender on a lead will get a pic of it now. I don`t need it as mine is old fashioned mechanical.

Thats the one, its the electronic sender, screws into the gearbox, should have around 6 inches of wire coming out one side with a plug on the end and the side which goes into the gearbox has a half inch prong on which turns!

Hopefully thats it?

Thats its, does the little tab at the sensor end spin round freely. If so I'll have it.

Cheers

Yeah spins freely, has a slight resistance like a cog turning inside, but I`ve no reason that it won`t work.

I have no idea what they are worth and Scoobynet seems to be crashing every now and then and won`t let me back on, so may not reply for a while.

But find out how much they usually go for, and make me an offer via pm.
