its the 3 bolt style headers. (gt spec/rcm/tommie etc)

harvy makes a up pipe for them, that reduces in bore size and you get better spool from it etc

but havent got the funds at the mo for a new one, as would buy direct from harvey, so am asking on here

Yep thats correct.

Diameter vs turbo chosen..

On a S206 I would think the standard diameter would be fine.

That may be what you think but it would not be what you thought if you had actually tried one for a number of reasons.
BTW it is not a reducer uppipe it is an increaser uppipe or as Olly Clark christened it Harvey's trick 3 bolt uppipe

The whole purpose of my 3 bolt trick uppipe is that it vastly improves performance in terms of earlier spool, torque across the rev range and response/willingness in comparrison to the RCM supplied uppipe. £149 plus delivery, DEI heat wrapped with five new Subaru studs. If you already have GT2 Spec 3 bolt tubular headers this is the best mod you could do for the money bar none. By virtue of the fact it is slip jointed it also means there is considerably less likelihood of splitting your headers.
