Default 97 WRX Coilpack

As title, am after an Import WRX Coilpack, experiencing occassional missfire when holding at 2.5-3k revs, evrybody seems to think this is the cause. Anybody local got one, with decent leads and good condition?

Many Thanks

Thanks mate, ideally i would like a proven full set though, so that if the problem persists i can at least rule the coilpack/leads out. Thanks again.

Its an import WRX, from what i was told there are only two different types with the classic, one which is the square coilpack which bolts straight onto the inlet manifold and has then for seporate HT leads, and one where the coils/leads are individual going onto each plug. Mine is the type that bolts straight onto the inlet manifold. Appreciate the offer mate, very kind, but unless you are somwhere in the mid-wales area (sorry doesnt say on your avatar)? then it might not be worth the fuel money if i can get hold of a set cheap enough off mattybr5, if that makes sense. I appreciate what your saying it could be one of a few things, it seems to be the most likely cause though from what ive been told by a few, its one of them ones where youve gotta try it and see i think! Plugs are very new, 2000miles max, and gapped correctly so cant see it being them.

Thinking about it, i wonder would my Simtek flag it up? Engine check light hasnt illuminated when its happened so perhaps it wouldnt.

Thanks again, Matty i will PM tomorrow and see whats happening.
