Default Centre diff or replacement gearbox - Manchester (or repair)

I have a 2000 2.0 sport wagon, None-turbo. My gearbox number is ty754xr1aa. The centre diff is really clunky when warm

Where can I get a replacement diff or someone to fix mine? Will any gearbox fit as long as I match the rear diff too?

Try Prosport 0161 432 9999 for fixing yours.

You can use different gearboxes than the one you have, but you have to have the same final drive or you will need the matching diff.

I have a matched set, gearbox with gear linkage, diff and propshaft but they are off an earlier Sport and the gearbox is a TY752, which is the earlier design with less bolts between engine and gearbox. I will sell the lot for £250 collected from Warrington if it's any good to you. It's probably better to stick with your own one if it's fixable though.

If I bought this could I not just swap the centre diffs? The reason I ask is because my gearbox has the high/low ratio setting.

If I was to buy this from you and put it on the car, do you know anyone that could do the labour?

Hi
Sorry, I don't know if the centre diffs are interchangeable or not. Didn't realise your box was twin ratio, mine is single out of a saloon. I think you are better off finding a gearbox that will go straight in and keeping it straight forward.

Might be worth a look or a post on www.imprezasport.net

Regards

Ken
