I think it's known as an induction pipe, goes from behind the Maf into the turbo, it's L-shaped

thats an early induction pipe mate, your righrt it has 4 or 5 outlets the my97/98 make sure that when you buy one you get the one with the bend in the middle as the straight ones what look the same are the version 5-6 ones and they dont fit properly i know i got stung woth one off here!!!
