VIN plates UK Turbo MY1998
hi there
already bought an STI v.4 and would like to register it on German plates, those costs are around 1000 quid as u have 2 pass special emission tests and so on :/
I thought of buying a set of UK Turbo vin plates instead and registering it as a UK Turbo as I can get some paperwork from subaru of Germany costing me 100 quid.
I'll need the following:
-paperwork
-2 vin plates
If you can help, I'd be very happy
btw: the sti is pure fun, had no idea what I am going 2 buy
with best regards
Nico

Hiya mate,
Glad you have the car sorted. It's illegal to do what your asking in the UK and your really are being a naughty boy
That being said there maybe someone who's written off their car and broke it down and are scrapping it. They should have the VIN Plates but the V5, which is the UK version of Fahrzugschein/Fahrzugbreif (not sure on my spelling, it's been a while since I have been to Germany) may have been sent to the UK Registration Office.
Hope this helps.
