Hi!

Im urgently after a short engine for my 2004 blobeye wrx. Im in Wolverhampton, but dont mind travelling to collect. Ive been told that a 2001+ will fit, but seen others advertised on ebay stating that classics will fit?? Any help would be appreciated and the cheaper the better. My car is pretty much standard and is gonna have to stay that way (unfortunately, lol!).

you can use the bottom end off a classic but you need to use you heads etc

if you can hold out for a rebuild that would be the way i would go bud cause you never know when it will let go. have you tried daz at central think he would do it for about £1600 if you mention subaru central

whats he got for you m8 a classic or newage engine ?

It was a fully rebuilt, newage (i think?) so it was a bit more than i wanted to pay

Any EJ20 short motor will work on your car.
The real deal is always in the heads. (except for forged pistons, but it is not your case anyways)

I have quite a few parts for a cheap rebuild.
