Default Wanted: Impreza WRX STI 2002+

Hello....

Sold my bugeye STi a short time ago, got an itch for another.......

Looking for a 2002 onward STi (bug or early blob if priced sensible), prefer PPP or sensibly modded to match the PPP power.

Ideally Black, but open to Blue etc

Located in Scotland, but could travel for the right car.

Check what these are going for guys before offering.

Funds at the ready - please pm with spec, history, condition, bumps/scrapes etc and photos if you can.

Cheers

Charlie

Cheers for the link mate.

True... all the 'too much' , 'too little' is confusing the hell out of me!

A good friend just bought a WR1 and paid £14k, i thought nothing of it, then on Autotrader i see one ( same age/spec - or so it seemed) for £8.8k - how can it be so different...

I'm looking for a 2003 JDM STI but i see posts for people in similar situations saying that i have to spend £10k [at least] to get a descent one or it will be knackered or crash repaired, then i see these posts where the opinion is based on much lower prices, its a buyers market, economic times etc...

Wish i could work it all out!

I let my MY02 STi PPP go for 6.5k, I think it was pretty much on the money. There are a few out there for realistic prices. Just hammer Pistonheads and you will get one.

I am on Pistonheads, Ebay, Autotrader and here obviously to no avail yet.

My gripe is I prefer standard looking, if modified - then sensibly (with all important proof of remaps etc to suit spec).

A few sellers reply, others get all uptight when I ask the questions - like service history, invoices to prove work, invoices to prove modifications etc. I hope I'm not alone here, but on this type of car invoices, proof of work carried out etc is very very important to keep with the car!

The rest of the sellers seem to over value their car, and again get shirty when I suggest what I would pay.

Obviously the STi owners I have contacted don't need to sell, and if so good luck to them, but it is a good time for those who want to buy (and have patience) - so the search goes on..........

Prices are all over the place! I am looking for the same car as you (except I would prefer white). I have seen WRXs (with highish miles) priced higher than STis (with lower miles). Which is silly IMO!

The problem I find is some people thinking because they paid xxxxx amount 2 years ago that they are worth xxxx amount - depreciation, there's something to think about - especially when fuel is nudging £1.10 a litre plus jobs etc are on the line for some poor folk, people are more shrewd - hence it's a buyers market.

A cars only worth what a buyer is prepared to pay.......

Anyway, again Black bug STI Prodrive please lol

Cheers!

Sent an email as it's so late to phone - see whats what.

Noticed a new one listed on ebay this afternoon too 2002 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX-STI PRODRIVE BLUE/BLACK on eBay (end time 16-Sep-09 16:16:57 BST)

Shame it seems a fair bit overpriced in my opinion, I'm sure I recognise the car from here too.
