Cheap laptop
Looking for something with about a 15" screen. Capable of running XP (so minimum 512mb ram). Preferably with a serial port.
As light as possible.

hi mate, i might have a dell D500 spare.
its my old workhorse and was running xp pro.
i can format it with xp pro and the drivers for £120.00 plus shipping.
its in good condition (few scratches on case, but otherwise perfect)
will take me a couple of days to do though. as i need to archive the data off it and find all the drivers.
had cd-rewriter and wireless option (trap door upgrade)
think it has 512 or 1gb can check tomorrow.
i kept it for spare, but never use it.
battery is good for 1 to 1.5 hours, and again i can test this beforehand as well.
