i've got a low mileage (40k ish) MY98 engine (all the bits, turbo etc) with gearbox, fresh belts and 30 day warranty.

£1475 - exactly what i paid for it.

my mechanic bought it for my MY99 but it won't work in my car (although was seen running fine in car it came out of).

It may be worth your while speaking to Tim on 01325 485800. He is breaking a 97 Wagon with loads of goodies. STi crank, steel rods, Omega Pistons and STi heads. It is on a Gems with a TD05-06 20G and did just over 400 bhp when last rolling roaded. It also has a six speed box and lods more.
