You know one of the ones that wont work on xbox live.. but will allow home made games to play.. not that I would

Seem to be going for between 50-100 on ebay... anyone?

i doubt they go for that money on ebay mate
my mate just sold his on fle-bay with over 50 games and took 500

Two of my mates just bought one each, one for £99 the other for £73

So whom ever bought your mates was an idiot.. didnt realise it was a modded machine with illegal games or had too much bloody money !!

Last time I looked it was pretty easy to do. You had to remove the dvd drive, and flash the firmware on it. You should give it a go yourself.

I don't have a 360, or any intention of getting one so there may be more in it then that. Check this site out. Xbox 360 Hacks - Hacks, Cracks, Mods, Homebrew, Utilities.

Well yeah... but I'm not gonna pay some one 5 times the average because they downloaded 50 games for free.

Problem is my xbox is freezing so it on its way out. I flash it and warrenty mean no free replacement.

You could "force" ROD or whatever its called, then get your free replacement, with hopefully the new chip. Then flash that.
I heard you cover the 360in a towel and leave it on for a few hours to "force" the ROD. But obviuosly don't go out, in case it sets your house alight.

I've heard that too... but the new chip isn't flashable apparently
