Anyone here selling a complete set of ECUTEK for WRX MY03?

 

dont think you can buy it m8... its a computer program that is "flashed" over your stock ECU..... you could trade ECU's... but that is just bad practice.

 

i thought it;s a piggy back that is pluged into the the ecu to allow it to be re map...

that may be what your thinking of.... but its not piggyback, its a reflash as well, but instead of the company mandating Pro-tuning(the making of maps pby a licenesed tuner company, such as ZENperformance ECT... )

they allow the user(you) to "flash"your own car with "off the shelf" maps
which are sort of generic for your mods.... you will not source the same power because it is for all WRX's with say a cattless 3 inch pipe...

not YOUR car, but all wrx's..... its like having a butcher cut a steak for you(ecutek) or buying a pre rapped one in the cooler(cobb)....


reaserch it first, because its a US company for US cars.

 

so in simple terms ecutek allows the user to map their cars to the specification of the user...

 

ecutek allows someone else(certified by ecutek) to map cars.... a "pro-tuner" who has to pay alot of monet to buy licences and get certified....

cobb loads a bunch of maps onto the access port(which can also be "protuned" , buy you can tune it yourself. (not fine tuned, but safe)
and you can up grade your map if you get a new mod... its all in the access port
