Body shell for rallycross project??
Evening guys.
It's a real long shot, but i'm currently looking for some backing for 2008 in which i intend on building a impreza for rallycross.
I currently race a metro in the stock hatch class and am aiming to move upto the supercar class in 2008 if all the plans come together, but i need a bit of help along the way and want to start getting on with the build this year so it's ready.
I'm wondering if anyone on here is willing to help by donating a free impreza shell for the project. Don't need anything fancy, (type ra would be nice) but if it has all the panels it would be a bonus, or a rolling shell. I could keep my eye out for a full car, but most of the parts would just get chucked as for rallycross a lot of the parts are specialy built, so i decided to work from the base shell upwards.
I'm based in lancashire and willing to collect and if you have a business or something i'm sure i can chuck a bit of free advertisment on the car in return.
If anybody also has free spare parts such as panels, wheels, rad's etc i would be willing to take of your hands (might help you all clear out garages)
I know it's cheeky, but i could do with all the help i can get
Anybody got anything available?
Thanks
Simon

Just recently read of someone acquiring a non turbo shell for £100, so just get on the autotrader and start looking at the non turbo's and I am sure you will find a decent shell.

Good idea, never thought about none turbo's, bet there are some cheap ones of those knocking round.
Really fancied going for the scooby as had 2 previous and didn't want to go down the typical ford route like most rallycross supercars are.
Been honest was after a bit of business backing from subaru breakers / modifying / body work companies to help with the project as they are likely to have the knolage besides the kit that will be needed, hence offering advertising space.
Got to ask the questions though.

aye up chris, good to hear from you bud.
Would have prefered to keep the old login, but admin weren't the most helpful. Lost my old password and the original registered e-mail address didn't exist anymore, but they wouldn't reset my details with my new email details.
Anyway, plans for the scooby supercar are all sorted now. Just need to source a shell to start, decided to stick to a narrow body rather than wide body due to the amount of panel damage sustained in rallycross and just easier and cheaper to repair with a std shell. I also thought with all the breakers and specialists out there that i might be able to get a shell in exchange for some advertising on the car.
Up at croft this weekend watching the first rallycross event of the year (not my championship)
