Thanks Craig, I'm interested but only for two, and that would leave me with a mis-match. And it would still leave you with two, so unless the set is incredibly cheap, say, £150, I guess I'll say no thanks.

I have a couple of spare part-worn RE040's.

One off the rim and one still on a spare, so I would need to get it removed first, I guess will cost about £10.

They have approx. 6mm of tread and are Bridgetone Potenza RE040 225/45R17 90W.

Here is the one still on the spare.

One small point, even though they are labeled exactly the same I think these may be off a JDM car because the shoulders are slightly more rounded than the same tyres here in the UK, don't know why.

Make me an offer if you are interested.

Hi, Sir Fozzalot, would be interested at a cost of £40 each. Where in Essex are you? I'd prefer not to get involved in postage. I'm in Finchley, North London. Perhaps we could meet half way?

Oh yes, have the tyres been repaired or damaged in any way?

Thanks.

Just a thought, but the rounded edges just looks like wear. Is the other one the same, or does it have even wear across? Have they been tracked? Not a problem but it looks like they may have been.

The tyres don't have any punctures or damage and haven't been repaired at all.

The rounded edges aren't wear as far as I can tell because they are symmetrical, i.e. the shape is the same on the inner and outer edge. They haven't been tracked. All 4 tyres were the same when I got them.

Price sounds fair, the only additional cost that I would like covered would be the cost of removing the 2nd tyre from the wheel. I have had one removed before and I think it cost about £10.

I am in Southern Essex, near Lakeside.

Why don't we call it £85 given that it takes 10 sec to get it off the rim ( I've had tyres changed, new valve and balanced for £10) and can you meet me half way round the North circular? Thanks.

I realise it doesn't take long to remove it, just want to make sure my costs are covered, I am sure you can understand that. Assuming it only costs me a fiver then thats fine.

Where abouts on the 406 were you thinking?

Sounds good. How about Charlie Browns (Ilford I think) roundabout. When did you have in mind?

SirFozzalot. Are you looking to sell the rim? Mate of mine is after a STi rim.

Cheers

Just in case you see this Howard, I was slightly out on the tread depths.

One has: 7 - 8mm
the other has: 8mm

They were newer than I thought
