Talking wheels swop, gold sti alloys for wrx alloys (2004)

I have gold sti wheels fitted to my 2004 wagon and because its a wagon the wheels rub the arches slightly, so I'm looking for some wrx wheels in any colour, but they must be in very good nick, only 1 or 2 marks on the sti alloys,

cheers
Taffy (aldershot area)

I have Gold WRX wheels in very very good condition if you're interested in a swap? Is it just the tyres that are causing you trouble?

I thought the sti wheels were wider, or is it just the tyres that are wider, if so It'll be easier to change the tyres as the ones on there could do with being changed soon anyway, anyone know if the wheels are the same width?
cheers

I thought that it was just the tyres. I run 215-45/17"s and believe that's the correct size for a classic.

Hi

As far as I am aware the rims are the same width but the tyres are different - on an STI they are 225 compared to 215 on the WRX. However not sure if that will make them rub the arches. If you had a classic then yes they would so you would have to run 215's on the STI 7 rims or get the arches rolled - however as you have a 2004 car (blobeye I assume) then they should clear OK.

Not done any other mods have you? (lowered etc)

hi nick, yes it has sti dampers with lowered springs, only the back ones rub the inside of the rear arches, so it might improve with 215 tyres instead of 225?
cheers Taff
