For my P1, unless you have something similar that will compliment my scorpion centre and backbox.

Chris,
I have just removed my 5 1/2 week old Scoobysport downpipe, including lagging.
It cost me £223 + £13 for the heat proof lagging.

Give me a ring.
We can discuss price, and if we can agree I would fit it for you, at my house, saving you 2 hours of labour charge (£70+) at Robinsons.

Reason for sale, it makes the car too loud for me, wife and two kids.

Edited to add, if you still have your centre section and STi back box we may be able to barter.

Cheers MTR

Martin,
Bl**dy unbelievable, I ordered a Scorpion downpipe today due to little response, wanted it on for this weekends camping trip, I will ring the supplier in the morning, if I can cancel, fine, I'll ring you tomorrow, if not sorry I missed the opportunity.
If that's the case, I'm happy to discuss a deal to suit to deal my STi centre pipe for you downpipe ? Just to help out a fellow scooby owner of course ! my office no; is 0151 - 523 - 7070, I'm in all day tomorrow, Wednesday.
Cheers
Chris

Chris,
I could fit my D/P tomorrow night for you.
Now thats service.

I am Oldham based.

Oh and by the way check your E-Mail.

Its the STi back box that interests me most, as I have also removed my SS back box, due to the noise.
Blimey I must really be getting old.!!

Cheers MTR

If you don't mind me hijacking your post, I've been after a S/S downpipe so if this falls/has fallen through, I'd be interested.
Incidentally MTR, I have an STi backbox in the garage if you're still in need. I'm sure we can come to some arrangement?

Neil.

Thumbs down

Niel F,
Sorry, the SS downpipe has now gone, and I have got Mellows STi 5 (P1)mid section and backbox fitted.

My car is blissfully quiet. Its the first time in 16 months, and 2 Imprezas that I can drive on a motorway without getting a headache.

I may try and get a Prodrive PP back box to give just a LITTLE bit more noise, but I don't want to go back to the SS set up again.

What did it for me was acelerating hard from a roundabout in my MY00 (SS d/p, b/b and Magnex decat centre) followed by my friend in his MY00 with just a SS back box, and the difference in performance was NIL.

Theoretical gains on a rolling road are one thing, the realities are something else.

My car DID feel quicker, and now feels a little bit flatter, but the percieved?performance gains could not make up for the discomfort.

Four hours on a motorway going to see family, with THROB,THROB,THROB all the way gets very tedious.

Before you buy an SS downpipe, check out the quality of some of the others, for pipe deformation, quality of welding etc
A HKS, for example is in a higher league for workmanship, and costs a lot less.

Cheers MTR
