Hi,

I've had my subaru for only a few weeks now and its been in and out of the garage.

There was a lot of oil coming from the engine and when we flushed the oil about 10 litres came out the dv was also throwing out oil .. we changed the oil changed the dv and this settled the car for a bit.

Then the Gearbox snapped (it had a short throw gearbox in there apparently) this was replaced with a new gear box then when the car came out we were on the motorway and heard a funny noise, we pulled over turned the engine off then put it back on and loads of smoke came out the exhaust ..

Apparently the TURBO has gone .. anyway we got a new turbo and after it was fixed same problem there was no compression no power then when the mechanic opened up the engine there were bits of metal everywhere ..

We have been told the engine has gone and we need a new engine ..

(I can give more details if required but as you can see we haven't had much luck with our subaru)

Its a 93 K reg 2.0 Turbo WRX manual ..

Where can we geta new engine from? please help

Why change the dumpvalve when oil is coming out of it; surely it obvious that the problem lies with the turbocharger?

Did you have a team of monkeys working on this or what?
