Default Under bonnet alarm switch/pin needed

As above really, the bit that sets the alarm off if your bonnets forced open and the alarms armed.

would you believe my nearest dealer said they wouldn`t be abvle to get one? Looks like i was talking to the wrong person

Its nothing special m8,not oem part but you can use any open close contact switch it only gives an earth signal.
Try local auto electrics place or Maplins

To keep the amount of work to a minimum (prevent re-wiring and drilling under the bonnet) a direct replacement switch should be sought.
If the system is an aftermarket type, than the switch will likely be mounted to the front panel and can be replaced with a similar type - try to get the same switch length.
If ithe vehicle is a 99+ UK car with the standard fit Sigma alarm system you will need to obtain the correct switch to mount to the existing metalwork, any old switch will not do as the length of the switch is critical to reliable operation and protection
Both types of switch that have been used are still avalable from your Subaru dealer using the following part numbers:
99-00 Classic - SACC 3472 (mounts with siren to bracket on the OS suspension turret)
01+ New Age - SACC 3499 (mounts to bracket on the NS suspension turret)
