I am looking an immaculate Golf MK2 GTI 16 Valve, 1990 onwards (Big Bumper only), ideally with power steering and no modifications.

Prepared to pay strong money for the right car.

Hi mate

I have a Mk2 Gti 8Valve that i have been thinking of getting rid of for a while.

I have had 16valves as well and i would say have a look at a few 8valves as well as with relatively few changes they can be as fast as the 16valver, and in many cases easier to live with day to day, 38mpg compared to 31mpg from my last 16valve!!

Anyway I have a very nice 1990 spec white 4-door 8 valve which i have carefully restored over the last 2 years. It is an original car, no add ons, even had all bodywork done and alloys refurbished!!

There's a really nice 16v on ebay at the moment. It's under the heading 'The Big Bumper - Volkswagen Golf GTi'. It looks like one of the limited edition ones they made near to the end of the mk2's as well
