Impreza WRX Dump or blow off Valve Stock / Non Stock
I have just currently bought a 94 subaru impreza WRX and am in love with her,
A friend in the states who builds turbo cars asked me to send pics to him and noticed this http://homepage.ntlworld.com/spythedude/dump.jpg . He said that there is meant to be a stock dumpvalve or blowoff valve?? Is he correct ?
So the wanted bit comes in here. Does anyone have anything old / new that I can buy for it, any advice will be greatly apreciated

Blimey, no dump valve!
What noise do you get when you change gear at high revs? Chatter?
You could do with something other that a bung in there mate!

That noise is the chatter of the compressed air rushing back over the turbine blades when the butterfly valve closes. Whilst i think the noise is awesome, your turbo will not like it as much.
Best thing to do is either get a Vent to air dump valve if you like the noise or get a recirculating one like the standard type if you dont.
Hope this helps.

VTA or recirc?
If recirc then standard one will do.
If VTA then there are loads on ebay, but make sure you get a twin piston type valve.

Okay thanks, I decided to stop being a lazy *** and find out what it means, I think I will try the stock one if I can find one and then try a uprated HKS or something, just so that I know what it will be like going from none to one to something better
