I'll bear it in mind, thanks, but I've put 12v to my one and it works. Wierd, as I have power up to the end of the connector, but when I plug it on, it doesn't work???
I'll let you know if it's required or not.

Mitch,
ive got an my93wrx, and i had a intermittant fault with my fuel pump ...end up with an RAC trip home.
I did the checks that you have, checked the voltage 'all ok'..... plug it in...nothing.
I ripped everything out, to get at the pump, and if you follow the wires backwards ....towards the front of the back seat, there is a plastic wiring connector ....mine had got that hot, it had melted, and lost its connection...there was enuff contact to carry the voltage, but not enuff to carry the current, and hence why it wouldnt work..
if you need any further advice on this, please pm me, and i will give you my fone number..it could be the same problem.
the fuel relay is a b!tch to get to ...its hidden to the right of the clocks on the dashboard, and about as far back, as they could get them. i changed mine, and it wasnt that. i also changed the fuel pump. i got a spare from grade A Subaru breakers.
Hope that helps
Frank
