Mate, you can have your existing ECU remapped using ECUTEK software - ECUTEK 1,2 & 3 are just loose trade names for software upgrades to the original Subaru ECU.

If your car is an MY99 or newer, any competent mapper will be able to provide you with a bespoke, much improved map (often referred to as TEK 3), using your own ECU.
