Looking to purchase a Scooby
#1
I hope you dont mind me hi-jacking your thread but I am also looking to buy a scooby turbo.
Again, my budget is £8k but, I'm looking at an import as they come with more power and toys though, the insurance will be about £500 extra (for me) but I hope the car will be worth £500 more.
I did post a topic asking for info but no-one replied! Cheers
Edited to add link to my topic, FYI (no useful info in there at present!) http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=267325

Hi All
I am complete novice to the world of scoobie, therefore was hopeing for some sound advise, before splashing the cash.
I looking to purchase a 97/98/99 Impreza Turbo, UK Spec, Saloon. The car must have Air Con, Navy Blue or Silver (Maybe). I assume it must have a full dealer history and have done approx 70-75K miles.
What should I be looking to realistically pay for a decent one, and what should i watch out for ?
Dont have a clue if there were spec changes during this time, therefore any help will be much appreciated.
Cheers
Sean
