I've got both, the X box is the better machine but the games are better (more playable and greater numbers) on the PS2.
Try and get a PS2 especially for when Gt 4 comes out

play.com are doing a pretty good deal on new ones - £130 inc delivery.

Seems like a pretty good deal.
I also have an xbox and a PS2, and I rate the PS2 higher. The xbox should be better, as it's technically more advanced, but the PS2 has a better game range and I'm yet to find something on Xbox that'll touch GT3.
Can't wait for GT4 !!!!
