The 3mm internal diameter stuff, like that shown in the pic below (from Chiark's page, cheers!):

Just need a few inches of the stuff, if it's the same as the stuff for fitting a Dawes then another few inches wouldn't go amiss cos that's going on next .

Or can someone tell me where I can pick this stuff up locally? No dealer near me

Ok cheers Scott will try a motor factors. Chiark's page says you can't get it from Halfords so I guessed it might be hard to get.

Pop into your nearest scrapyard with a stanley knife. Go to the first car you come to and chop a bit off. You'd be very unlucky if the car didn't have a suitable pipe to chop, and even more unlucky if the scrappy guy even bothers to charge you for it.

marty can i get this stuff off non-turbo cars? where would they have a pipe the right diameter that can withstand the pressure and vacuum?

There's a place close to me where they take abandoned cars so I could cut a bit off from there (mostly sh1tty cars tho like old cavaliers rovers etc!)

You should be able to find a coolant hose or an oil feed pipe that'll do the job. I wouldn't worry too much about the pressure.. 1 bar of pressure in a narrow diameter pipe isn't really that much. The pipe that comes with a lot of boost gauges isn't much stronger than the windscreen washer hose. Most important thing is that the hose is a snug fit and the jubilee clips hold it tight.
