As above, cant deal with replacing my plastic jobbie all the time so instaed of gettin another sh*te one i may as well get a proper one and make a bracket up.. <rambling over>

So, has anyone got a 97 on (think thats when the metal one was fitted) header tank that they want to sell??

I know what you mean.. i am on my 3rd one now...
I did have a guy fabricating one for me but it ended up as more hassle than it was worth with the cap neck, he did tell me that if i could find a neck that was made of alloy he would graft it onto the tank he made for me, however.. finding a header tank that was made of alloy in a breakers was impossible.....

The alloy filler necks and caps can be bought from demon tweeks motorsport catalogue (about £12).... as i was going to get my mate to do the same thing for me.. weird, great minds think alike..

If you don't want to be bothered making up new pipes and are willing to wait a bit, I was talking to a mate who's just repaired his old tank and is thinking about getting a batch af alloy ones made up

I'll send him this link and see what he has to say!!

Gary,

Is this just a bracket or is it a operational tank?

Can you email me a picture?

Once again Mr Dan exceeds himself
However, my Mates work will make one up for £80 but i have to wait a week until its done, that is as well as a cap neck,
I rung mid impr today and they quoted me £62 all in which is good..
+ they can get it out next day
But, for 80-90 squids i can have an alloy one... decisions decisions... it will be a direct replacement.....
If i have to wait for a neck to arrive and then a week for simon to make it...
Not sure if i can wait that long????
Rob.
How easy is that bracket to make??

Right, who wants one?

Phil has got back to me and he can supply these for £95 inc delivery, but there is a minimum order of 6 tanks of which he has 4 already made.

Still interested? Please let me know asap.

Cheers, Bryan

The one from the turbo fitted the one on the bottom of the tank fitted.... but i had to make the other two on top to the rad and overflow longer... i just bought some fuel hose with the same internal diameter from halfords...

I had 3 plastic ones, they were second hand each time though thats why i went for the metal ones in the end...

Dan
