Looking for my first scoob.

5 dr, UK car (or convince me an import isn't a problem)
<60K with fssh
Got to have air con (the wife insisted)
No radical mods but I checked for insurance and original fit Prodrive engine, suspension and body kits only added about £20.
Not too fussy on colour, don't like silver much but would still buy one if it's the right car.

I could have 2 5 doors for sale. One is green and the other red. the red one is a N plate with only 28K on the clock with FSH. Not sure if they come with aircon, as i thought it was just imports that have air con.

Air con is an option on any car AFAIK. Not that I know that much!

I have decided I want an MY99 or,budget allowing, a higher milage MY00, a UK spec import would be OK.

yeah it is an option but it costs money where as the import comes over with air con and doesnt cost anything as its standard

I have a my99 with 46k miles on the clock. No aircon though. But looks and drives immaculate. I could post pictures if interested?. 10.5k fssh.

Really want the air con I am afraid - I live inside the M25 and so spend a lot of time in traffic.

Personally I think all new cars should come with air con as a road safety feature - cooler heads etc. Maybe one day... flying pigs ahoy!

I know the car I want is out there - (in fact Cheeky Jim sold it to someone else before I got to see it arghhhh)! That one was <£12K, a 2000W @ 53K miles.

Dealers charge £1k to do it, but I'm sure that some would be prepared to offer a discount on that price, and some aftermarket suppliers coudl probably do it for quite a bit less if you went direct.

Thanks for that John, I will look into it.

I checked out the thread on your friends car by the way, it looks like a good buy but Aberdeen is a bit of a trek to go and see a car. If I have not been able to find one in a month or so I might start to get eager enough to consider travelling a fair way to see a car.

I really want an Impreza but I am going to buy with my head rather than heart if you get my drift.

This may be a happy coincidence? I have a MY99 Green 5-door with air con, full SH, 47K miles. I've owned it from new and was thinking about a change. I've always fancied an RB5 but it's the usual problem - have to sell my motor before I can buy, but I can't buy until I find an RB5!

If you're interested and not in a vast hurry (ie can wait until I find an RB5), we may be able to do business?

My Scooby has been lovingly looked after, never tracked or raced, and treated by the Wax Wizard. In other words, it's in great condition.

It does have (sensible) modifications, but I'm more than happy to restore the car to its original state.

If you're interested, let me know.
