Default Wanted - decent wagon, probably newage

My wagon met a nasty end at Silverstone last weekend, so I'm on the lookout for another one. Don't mind if it's standard or modified, as lots of the bits on my old one can/will be swapped onto the new one. Mostly looking at newage cars for that reason, but wouldn't rule out a good classic.

Would rather not pay more than 5K, and I'm based in Kent so somewhere near here would be best - but I can travel for the right car.

Send me a PM or post links to any good ones you hear of please!

Would it be worth bringing in a jdm wagon? I looked at a couple of bug sti's three years ago after a blob wagon, problem was that they were too tatty at that age. Some very clean Hawks there, not dear if you do it yourself.

Thanks, I've been thinking about JDM yeah. I wouldn't know where to start with importing, but have seen there's a JDM bug STI up north somewhere, listed on Pistonheads. Also seen a hawk JDM wagon (still with 2.0 engine) advertised online but don't know what spec they have and whether they're worth the premium over a UK WRX wagon.

Either way I need a car by Easter really, so starting a new import now isn't really feasible.

There is a JDM sti wagon? Not exactly a common model to get hold of but they are out there.

I'm looking at a manual one at the weekend. How much on these is interchangeable with a UK blob wagon (or STI), in case I want to take any good bits off my dead one?

Not many parts swap over.
An option.

Had a look at that leggy, it's lovely. Very tempted, but still worried that it won't feel sporty enough. Would my STI Brembos fit it?

There's an STI wagon currently on autotrader.

There's also a Bug STI wagon but that's a lot rarer, they do pop up every once in a while though.

Yeah, for the money I'd go for the bug STI wagon, but I don't have that much to spend now, having just paid the balloon on our PCP for the other car

The manual spec B in the Facebook marketplace ad a few posts back. It's done about 100k miles, been in the UK 4 years all with the same guy.

Sweet. I nearly went the spec B route after my blob wagon. Pictures required!
