Default engine block or broken engine

I'm after a 2.0 block OBD or SCDB (or indeed CDB, as long as it's rear thrust converted).

A broken engine (e.g. big ends) would work as well for my purposes.

Ideally on original bores, but I have to bore it out to 92.5 anyway, so not too worried if it's scuffed etc from pistons as long as it's not gouged out completely.

I'm in Orpington in Kent / SE London, so somewhere around SE England would be ideal to save the hassle of shipping a block, but unless shipping is prohibitive, I'd consider further afield as well.

Please reply by PM or in this thread in the first instance.

I have a decent scdb ej207, bores are mint but got shavings of bearing wear, I've got new acl bearings to be fitted to make it perfect again, just not got round to doing it.
Make me a sensible offer and I 'may' let go.

Do you mean you have a crank and bearings for me as well as a package, or are you just getting rid of the block?

No. crank should be fine, just got x2 bearings kit to fit.
Would rather open it up and fix tbh and check everything else is ok before I put it up for sale later tbh as I don't want any come backs.
It suffered slight hg failure.

Just seaarch "impreza engine" any 2.0 Na engine or block will do as all 2.0 odb are the same. Best bet is a low mileage 2.0 Na engine, will be mint.

Boosted, yeah you're right, I know... There's a legacy engine closeby at the moment. However the problem with runners is for me that I don't want to use any of the bits inside, and I also have to pay the premium of a working engine then... otoh if it's a runner at least the block is most likely good - decisions, decisions.

I have a spare 2.0 rear thrust block here in need of a first rebore, has slight pitting from water ingress on the 92.00mm bore.

Henrik,

Apologies but the block has gone, within a few hours of the heads coming off someone had offered me an amount of cash that I couldn't refuse, sorry for getting your hopes up, good luck with the hunt!
