I've got a working R180 here I changed off my 70k blob JDM if any good.
Needs the backlash resetting as it has a slight "clunk" when your heavy on the clutch, didn't interfere with the drive but it done my head in so changed it

Ok I'll let him know but I spoke to a gearbox specialist earlier, asked him about resetting/adjusting backlash & he said the diff may be fooked & recommended taking the backplate of & having a good look at it.
If my mate is interested is there any chance you could remove the backplate & take some good quality close up photos?
He is also in Wales but I don't know how far from Cardiff, might be possible for him to come & see it for himself

No problems at all pal.
I was told it was the backlash but as you say it may be different. It had no noises when driving like whines or unwanted bangs and would only kind of clunk when quick with a shift for instances and quick off the clutch.
Let me know where he is and I'm sure we can sort something out if not to far
