Mine didn't rub at all on bc's with 300kg baggage(half bags on rear seats -Romania style) on my summer eurotrip.
Are strong the same like volks, prodrive etc. but more heavy to keep strongest.
Impreza never been build for tracks, rally only.
Any alloy will do job on road.

Probably only running rubber band tyres on his....!
Totally agree 100% with Fat-Thomas, the wheels are rubbish, will be chipped and flaking with in a year.
Fawor, learn to spell/write, they are not heavy because they are strong like Rays etc, they are heavy because they are made out of crap cheap inferior materials....
Id read up on the process of Forging and Casting, it will explain why Rays etc are for more expensive and far stronger than XXRs etc. You get what you pay for, and XXR's are the Lada of the wheel world...

I have XXR 527 8.75" on my every day impreza and have done for 6 months now with no issues whatsoever. I fitted camber bolts all round and did full geo setup with more negative camber than standard and also rolled the arches. Have NEVER had a tyre rub under any extreme driving condition!
The wheels have suffered from very minor stone chips, but no more than any other wheel I've had on the car since new. This is primarily because all of the roads around me are being re-done with the lazy tar and chip method.
My wheels still look like new and the car drives as it did when new. I'm very happy indeed!
