I had a rattle on my classic when the revs were dropping, turned out to be my actuator bar had come a little lose where it connects to the turbo. The part that held it on had moved slightly. Maybe worth a try? Get someone to rev the car as you hold the bar with something, be warned this gets very hot so I wouldnt do it with your hand. Maybe long handled screw driver just to put a tiny bit of downward pressure on the bar. This is just a thought though, as it would transfer the rattle through the turbo to the exhaust system.

No problem mate, I changed a turbo and exhaust to solve the problem, daft thing is ive only just clicked to what it was as ive got rid of that car and got another last year but the actuator was playing up so swapped it for the one off the turbo I removed and the rattle is happening on my current car now lol 4 years later I find it was something simple lol
