I'll get some pics. It has a walbro pump, exedy clutch, Subaru 3 port boost solenoid, genome backbox, decat centre, prodrive sports cat and mahle pistons. Mapped by Bob Rawle, I don't know the exact figure, but it past the 300 mark. I'll get some pics sorted later.

A PPP will be running the low 300-bhp, possibly 320.
55 Plate is cheaper tax (£280 for mine).

A quick look around the usual sites and that seems about the right price, better with the low mileage.
I don't want to turn this into a thread of adverts but there's an interesting 03 plate with 352 bhp and a dyno print on Pistonheads, and under your budget.
The first upgrade you might want to do (to 350+) is already done, so you've saved/avoided the first temptation.
TBH buying a car is like Deal or No Deal. Unless you hit the jackpot you'll always have some disappointment, either with a 'better' car coming along after you've dealt or waiting too long and missing out.
I'd say that 20 of us could post suggestions, none of us would be wrong, some of us would think the way you do but none of us would point out the same car/advert.
What I would strongly advise is that when you've targetted one you fancy, put it up on here and ask for people's advice. You'd be surprised at how many prospective buyers have avoided dogs and sheds that way.

thanks for the advice, ive had a few classic impreza 2000 but not a newage so looking for advice. I so that 352 bhp sti 2003 but the mileage bit too high at 89k miles for me, so a sti type r v5 limited edition, remapped tp 323bhp, 310torque by zen performance, 50k on clock for £5300?

Thought it said 69K, with cambelt etc. done at 59.
Sorry !
Re the Type R I'd suggest (have to be a bit careful here) that's very low total mileage for a car of that age. It's possible that it's 59K miles (ie. UK mileage), so you'd need to ascertain how many Japanese Km it has also done (which could of course be zero, or included in the 59K on the clock).

Try UK and JDM models if they fall within your budget, you might find an early JDM twin scroll car within your budget if you are lucky.
But you'll get better value out of a UK Blobeye wide track STi if I'm honest plus you'll still have the 2.0 engine with all the later enhancements.

There was a black 53 plate jdm blob on piston heads earlier, coil overs and few little bits and bobs, 62k iirc and was advertised at £6200, funny enough when we enquired about it, turns out it sold within hours and I'm not surprised at that price providing the car didn't have have any funny business about it that was a damn cheap car
