Land rover rear window!

Hello, my friend has a land rover and the rear door window no longer drops down the inch or so in order to open the door! Can anyone help fix it?

The switch has gone in the handle

Its a freelander at guess

Iirc it was about £140 for a new handke and switch from landrover

Brother in law has just had same problem, he had to replace the switch and the cable..
It was the solenoid in the switch that had broke
