Default Newbie update on exhaust/tyres

Firstly can i just say i have been overwhelmed with the level of feedback and advice given by you guys

I have decided to go for the prospeed 2.5" exhaust ( from the cat back)mainly due to the fact its just down the road from where i work and doesnt cost much more than a replacment section but you guys have opened my eyes to the world of tasty exhausts

Tyre wise i have gone for the Falkens 452 hope theyre as good as you all say , thanks to evil.soup for the heads-up with sardis tyres ( going there tomorrow) £70 a corner fitted so not a bad price at all

last point what would the best replacment panel filter be ? ( or is this better suited in the technical section)

ill do my best to come along to the next meet ( bring my mum and her new shape wrxs :P )

Again a whole world of advice but K&N in the OE airbox is good for over 400 bhp.

K&N, Green, STI or Cosworth are all good filters,

STAY well clear of the ITG, these are known to distroy MAF sensors as they are oiled instead of a dry filter.

I have had a green cotton filter in mine and its been great. Just take it out every now and again for a quick clean and Bobs your uncle. In the long run it has saved me a few quid too as I haven't had to buy disposable ones every other service

£70 fitted is a great price, better than the last time I went there!

The oil is the main reason the MAF's fail. It builds up on the wire and then burns. You have to be very careful with the oiling process when you clean them and make sure all the excess is removed.

That's why I still have my winter wheels\tyres on!! It's going to cost me the best part of £400 to get the car on the road for the summer.

225/40/18's should be about the same price as 215/45/17's or even cheaper because of the profile difference. On Camskills the 18's are cheaper than the 17's
