Route Up - Colin McRae Weekender
As you know the McRae Weekender is getting close .
To help those who are still undecided this will hopefully prompt you into pulling your finger out and joining this pretty special event for a very good cause.
The detailed departure time will be decided later.
Meeting point will be the B&Q just off the A470 in Brecon. This allows the Neef-ists and Valley Heads a chance to shake out any dramas before the run.
We'll follow the A470 to Builth Wells then spin up the A483 to Llandrindod Wells. From Llandod carry on up the A483 to Newtown, Welshpool then Oswestry. For those that need it (all of us) there is a Shell garage with V-Power before the A5. It back onto the A483 bypass around Wrexham then the *** to the site.
Timing will follow but it's a good route that will take us along some cracking roads. We can't avoid the "trakkers" or "sunday drivers" but it's not boring like a motorway with plenty of opportunities to pull in and have a break.
Brecon to Wrexham is 102 miles of smiles.
