Right guys found the source of my knocking from the rear (no jokes please-Ty) on the car, it appears the CV Gaitor clip on the rear driveshaft had come off, and allowed the gaitor to slide out of position and spew all its grease out and as a result has been running dry, for how long i dont know, it definately was ok at MOT not long ago. looks like its fubard the bearings and is probably beyond repair.
question is are the driveshaft all the same for classics, imports aswell?if not what will fit mine and where's the best place? early 97WRX is the offending vehicle.....

forgot to say is it a big job? dosent look too bad but hey they never do until youve ****ed a nut or something!!!
Cheers
ROb

Rob, why not get the shaft repaired at BAR propshafts down in Neeeef Abbey? They can overhaul the failed joints/bearings and clean up the shaft for you.

http://www.barpropshafts.co.uk/

If you do buy a second hand shaft you could be buying another problem, but if you want to buy a used drive shaft then try:

Speak to Adge and tell him I put you onto him and he should hopefully be able to help you out.

And make sure you get a new drive shaft nut from Keith Price at the same time as well.

As if I could make a joke out of it.
