Best classic brake setup?
Hey folks,
Was just after a bot of advice on me brakes. I currently have Subaru 4-pots, with drilled and grooved front and back discs with Mintex pads.
Long story short i didnt give everythoing time to bed in properly last year, and as consequence near the end of one of the runs last year my front discs became warped. They have been working satisfactory ever since except when very hot im obviously getting some juddring feedback at the steering wheel, since i dont drive the car very much at all, it hasnt bothered me but with a couple of runs coming up soon i'd like them to be right. I had thought maybe dimpled and groved discs but is this wise??
Pad choice any ideas? after reading Ty and Dylans thread a while back about the EBC Bluestuff pads being the dogs grundies i thought they would be a good choice, but after seeing a EVO9 FQ on the run last week with them on, and him having to pull over as he had serious fade and were non existent, im not so sure? all the while amazingly my mintex pads seemed fine ironically!!
While im at it too the car needs to be four wheel aligned as the fronts are wearing quite un-evenly, are Indigo GT the best around here?and a rough idea on cost please, shes on standard suspension with just lowering springs i believe.
Cheers in advance guys,
Rob
Just to add im probably going to keep the rears as they are as they seem ok, and there seems to be plenty left i n both front and back pads, but if its a better job ill change them all round.

I can't understand how the Bluestuff pads performed so poorly on the Evo after they perform brilliantly on my AP's.
That's all I can think is that they were a 'duff' batch or possibly the older non NDX Bluestuff pads.
If it were me I'd contact EBC and ask them to investigate.

Give Ian at Godspeed a shout - he'll be the best to ask for advice, and he's a supplier for the NDX Bluestuff pads so should be able to recommend a suitable setup for the classic.
Have his grooved discs with NDX Bluestuff on my O6 Spec D and its a very good combination for fast road use, but I can't comment on track requirements.

Yeah, hearing a few problems with the Blues, not sure if it's the old Blue pads instead of the new NDX's.
Mine have been fantastic, only managed to get them to fade once but i think anything short of a race pad would of faded on that little trip out!!!!
I'm still very impressed and will be using them again
