Default OIL + FILTER

HI GUYS WENT TO LOCAL FACTORS TODAY TO GET OIL N FILTER FOR ME MOTOR BUT THE BEST OIL THEY COULD OFFER ME WAS CASRTOL MAGNTEC BUT I THINK ITS UP TO THE JOB ANY ADVICE ON WOT SPEC IS GOOD ENOUGH SHES ON 51,000 WITH FULL SUBARU SERVICE HISTORY

Try opie oils, get good deals on there. I use millers CFS I think it is. If you pm oilman on here and let him know spec and how it's driven he will give you some recommendations as everyone has their own preference.

millers, motul, fuchs, all good oils. 10/40 fully synthetic is what i think will be given as a recommendation, esther based oils are the best

Another vote for Opie you can get all you need there, Oil - Filter etc, a few of us bought Gulf 10w40 racing oil at a tidy price but they have offers very often

hi been advised against magnatec by bob rawle,found it carbonised at high temps in turbo bearings,he reccomended shell helix incase you wondered.

The engine is like the heart of your body it needs the same fluid every time, hope you remember to use Forte Engine Flush before you change the oil as well as OEM oil filter.

Avoid engine flush like the plague. Heared so many horror stories about engine flushing the EJ20

About to say the same about the engine flush, Have been told by a few tuners never to use the stuff in a scoob

I use Fuchs (aka Silkolene) 10w50 fully synth from Opie Oils. Used it in both my scoobs and no problems here

thanks guys opie oil its is then i pm them now also iwas going to fit magnetic drain plug aswell

I used to use motul V300 15-50 but then changed to Silkolene Pro R 15-50, The Pro R comes in a 5 liter container where as the motul comes in 4 and 2 liters, which means you always had an extra 1 liter hanging around,

Been using this grade for the last 8 years and never had a problem,
