Default Dent Removal Group Buy Time??

With show season nearly upon us i thought i'd ask if we should get another one going. I organised a couple of these last year and all went well
I had Mike from 'Mend A Dent' at my unit this week and i asked if he'd be happy to do the same deal at £60 per car and he's fine with this. If you've got 5 or 6 or even 20 or 30 dents it'll be a fixed price of £60 and believe me this guy is the best by far i've used!!
If this is of interest then just start a list or if it's too soon in the year just let me know...........lets try to get at least 5 definates for this, i think around 15 made it last time
Dave.

I've got a tiny rust spot about 5mm round on rear wheel arch...is this within his scope or is it only dents?
If so can anyone recomend who I should see.

| was'nt impresed with what i've seen of Mike's work to be honest and think with a bit of practice i could do better, i think Steve Magill (Dent devils) or Craig Morrissey (Exeldent) far better imo.

Really, well you are the first person who has ever complained but it's a free country and of course you are entitled to your opinion. If you'd care to read the last group buy i think everyone was extremely pleased and i'm sure Mike would challenge you on a few panels should you care to take him on
What car and dents were you unhappy about as i'm sure he'd be only too pleased to deal with any complaints.
I've used most dent companies as i deal in Jap sports cars and Mike has consistently been the best and is highly regarded in the motor trade, i've seen one of your lads mentioned work and frankly it was left a little to be desired but that's only my personal opinion
Dave.

It was my car Jarvis was refering to, tbh i was happy with the job at first untill i got home and noticed Mike had broken an interior panel which he removed to get to a dent. It was only when pointed out that a couple of the dents had been pushed out to far so it was like a small lump. To be honest i didnt really know the difference at the time but the more im getting into bodywork the more im learning. Nobody wants tobe hanging about taking dents out on a staurday morning but overall i think Mike had rushed a little. Whether it was because it was only a 1000 quid Justy i do not know but i personally wouldnt use him again. This wasnt said to put anyone off the group buy and i hope everyone has a great job done on their car.

Ah right, i don't think even God himself would be able to restore your little Justy to pristine condition for £60 Ryan.Everyone is entitled to an opinion but you also need to be realistic, your car really would need a full bodyshop re-paint to make it perfect as i would myself since turning 40
Anyway, i'm not getting into a debate or argument of "who's the best", i've been asked by a few members to organise a 3rd day and that's what i'm doing. I've used Mike for years after trying several 'experts' that were quite frankly crap. I don't earn / profit nor gain by this but if i can help a few people out then i'm good with that
Dave.

To be honest Calv i hav'nt used the bars in anger for a few years, did my training in Ayce systems hq up in Skipton, Yorkshire and soon after realised it was counter productive for a body shop to do smart repairs/paintless dent removal, i recon i'd be abit out of practice now and you need to be doing it day in day out to reach a high standard, and some never reach that standard ever, may have a practice on the apprentices car first and let you know, pity to have a few grand worth of kit and training and not use them

Yeah i know that he wasnt going to restore it to pristine condition for 60 quid but i did expect the service i was paying for to be done properly. I certainly didnt expect to have a panel broken and dents pushed out to far. Since then ive used another company which took all the dings out of the saxo and he certainly spent alot more time and effort than i feel Mike did on mine.
Cheers
Ryan

I havent said anything bad about Dave as it was Mike i was dissapointed with. It was organised well and it was good of him to let us come to his unit. I wanted to share my experience as i wouldnt want the same to happen to your cars.

I am a little annoyed if i'm honest and if this is personally directed at me Mr Hawk i must say i'm not a fan of keyboard warriors. Perhaps you could organise a better one especially as you seem to be a fully active club member whereas i am more of an occasional one.
Ryans car was done on GB1 and this'll be GB4.....where were the complaints after the 1st one?? There were 15 cars at Mikes on the last GB and all were extremely happy
In any aspect of life / business then there will always be happy customers and not so happy customers but when a complaint arises over one year later it seems a little odd to bring it up now.
Rant over..........when do you want this sorted out guys as i doubt i'll bother again if it's going to cause me any unnecessary grief
Dave.

Nothing to do with Dave, saw what his dent guy did to Ryans car and was'nt impressed, i'd want to be warned if he was about to attack my pride and joy' whats the problem with that?
