Default ABS question

Is it possible to retrofit ABS to my Type R? if so, what costs would be involved??

You should have bought a P1 and retro fitted DCCD with DCCD pro controller with G sensors as it would be a lot easier. It's possible to covert to ABS but probably need to purchase new sensors as there a pain to remove without breaking, also need to switch the brake lines or make new so very time consuming job but anything is possible.

Pull the fuse it's easier than removing.

If you feel the need to remove the ABS on a road car I would suggest fitting better tyres and learning the braking system fitted to your car first. As by threshold braking and learning to squeeze the brake pedal and feeling the cars braking limits then you shouldn't ever have to activate the ABS unless in an emergency where the system could save your life, by allowing the driver to steer out of trouble whilst braking. For a track or rally car then locking tyres can reduce the cars braking distances but on a road car in a emergency situations it's dangerous.
