Clutch on 2000 Sport..
Hi guys/gals,
Iv noticed that my clutch is slipping and the clutch point is really high. Does anyone know of prices and decent fitters in the Cardiff/Barry/Bridgend area that is good for the job?
I also need to tighten the handbrake but dont know where to start??
I only paid £1500 for the car so knew abit of work would be needed, just want to get it ready for the summer show season.
Any help/advice would be mega,
Cheers,
Stu

clutch might just need adjusting as the sports are a little harder to get them right as they also have hill starts on them that work off the clutch this means you can stop on a hill and press clutch in and the brake pedal down hard and you can then let your foot of the brake and car will hold until you let the clutch up as you pull off, it's great if set up tidy
hand brake can be adjusted by removing hand brake cover in car and should be just behind hand brake lever
my misses just bought her second sport last week
you can learn alot about the impreza sport at www.imprezasport.net
they also suffer from knock sensor which when relocated and disconnect battery for awhile sorts out the car and runs much better
get on sportnet you will learn lots hope this helps
