Unless you planning on running 380+bhp then I would stick with a 2.5" system, I don't know what type of Impreza your running but it might be worth trying to get hold of a second hand Prodrive sports cat for anywhere between £100-150.

If I were in your position I would try and pick up a second hand Prodrive sports cat and save yourself around £300 on what a new one would cost you.

It all depends on your eventual goals but the Prodrive sports car is about as good as anything else on the market.
