Default Sony PSP - Help please............

The little one has just aquired a Sony PSP, from what I can see it's running up to version 3.40 on the software front.

But when trying to load another UMD game (with a software upgrade included) the PSP won't have it and says the game was "unable to start" or something like that...........it doesn't seem to want to accept there is an upgrade available, to enable to play the new game.

The unit has no memory Card Duo fitted if that means anything

Thanks

Simon, I used to have a PSP and I think that if the firmware version on the PSP is earlier than the game recognises then it asks you to install the latest firmware version, but this is usually on the game UMD disc.

Cheers Ty - yeah the new software does appear on the UMD disc and you have to click on the update icon, pic of the game with two opposing arrows in it - but when i do click on it - the instructions to download don't come up - to follow and a message stating the game is unable to start comes up

It also won't let you update if your battery level is anywhere below about 75% charged, so it's easier to try the update with it plugged into the mains charger.

I can have a look for you if you want, do you still want me to pick you up on the 2nd? I'll have a look then if you want.
