I did mine with a dremell and wire wheel and it came up like brand new...so attatck it then

Well you just got to keep cleaning it to stop it going again, the grainy texture that comes in the new finish has been removed and it is now nearly smooth in texture so keeping it clean will be a lot easier than it ever was before.

Polishing mops are the only thing for this job

Would you be happy with the second picture as a finished item ?

Add just over an hour to that Merv and you will be somewhere near it, a very dirty job this one

Now come on guys you did not think that was finished did you ?










This is it 99% done I just need to paint the inner windings black and we are finished first though I'll take it into work and blast some air into it to clean any dust etc out.













Swiss you can't have it back

I did not strip it down I cleaned it as it is, all dry polishing no liquids used at all... just a series of mops and compounds

dont be silly kev he checked that with a tape mesure before taking the pic, its the 2" std caldicot length
