Only 3 and a half years? I saw the skid marks last year, think they're still slightly visible now!! Judging by the skidmarks he was going pretty quick! He knew he was over the limit too! What a tosser!

Just goes to show how ridiculous the law is in this country !!!! Three and a half years for leaving someone to die, after you caused their injuries,it just doesnt make sense. I really feel for the family left behind.

Imagine the news report if he had been driving a Subaru,
As above the sentence doesn't reflect the crime.

The driver should be thrown into a real jail and left to rot for the rest of his natural life, he didn't give a stuff for his passenger as he lay dying.

This just goes to prove how wrong our judicial system is, and as for the sentence handed out and the driving ban - they should put him in a locked room with the victim's family and let them extract their revenge.

ive been there fella and i just am so thankfull of the people of cowbridge that give in wittness statments of "seeing the car in the area before the crash"

i had the "young driver in a scooby" = to fast

but luckily with the above and the police accident investigators report it was proved not to have been the case.

The reality is he will likely serve half the sentence and get out on good behaviour. FFS he left his mate to die!

Hopefully he'll get a cell mate call "Dave" who after lights out turns into "Davina" who wears a donkey jacket and mask.

Gareth, accidents happen mate and I really feel for you and what you have been through. Thankfully justice was done but it took some hard work and sacrifice on your behalf.
