Default Christine - Why is it...................

..................that when you give something away that's been sat in the shed for ages that you don't need within days you need it

Gave the old girl her first wash in weeks and as always I have a good root around for any problems and guess what..................I found one!

I noticed the red paint on the bell of the brake disc was a bit discoloured so went at it to see why. The wheel was off anyway for cleaning so I checked the pads and disc only to discover that the outside pad is worn, so having some spares in the shed it was time to change the lot. Wiped the pad out and it's actually breaking up and crumbling away .

So, I attempt to push the pistons back in and one of them is seized . Mucho muscles and it goes back in but is now binding

And what did I give away a few weeks ago.......................my spare caliper repair kit AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I'll get some from Import Car Parts tomorrow unless someone as a spare 4 pot until I can get it repaired?

Ian, drop Kyle a pm as he still has the repair kit. The calipers you sold him were in good condition so he shouldn't need the repair kit.

I need a complete set of 4 seals etc. To be on the safe side I'll do a complete refurb. It's a pain at the mo as "Christine" is my daily driver .

The dog is pretty knackered walking to work at the minute.

Got the kit yesterday . I managed to fit all the new seals etc but will have to wait until later to get them bled.

One seal was starting to perish and the piston was a bit "cough" stubborn to say the least. But all cleaned up and tidy now.
