Default MOT Time - Will this fail the car

Hi all.

Went up to Indigo GT for a service and to get the knocking noise sorted out, and it turns out that the diff is creating the knocking and needs to be replaced. I wont be able to get the work done until early march but the MOT is up 14th feb. Will the car fail for this?

Thanks in advance

nope it wont fail on this,
why cant you have the diff sorted till march???
you can get diffs for £40 and fitting is so easy you can do it yourself in a few hours max,
if you want to come to my place i can give you a hand fitting,
(i have a jap diff here)

They said a reconditioned diff would be around £350, so i was going to wait until i got paid to get it.
Didnt know you could get it that cheap. Can i use a jap one on my Type uk STI?

Thanks for the help

I think the JDM diffs have different ratio's. So don't quote me but I think it's a no.

You can deffo get diffs cheaper than that. Put an ad in the Wanted section. Dont settle for £350.

Is your car a UK or JDM model?
